Sunny Real Estate has an office in Lauderdale, which is a seaside town 15 minutes from Hobart. Other seaside suburbs around Lauderdale in the area called Paradise Peninsula are Acton Park, Seven Mile Beach, Sandford, Cremorne, Clifton, South Arm and the furthest away is Opossum Bay which is 35 minutes to Hobart.
This area is generally referred to as the Eastern Shore of Hobart but it’s only once you get to Lauderdale which backs onto the huge expanse of Frederick Henry Bay that the temperature becomes noticeably warmer. This is because this bay is ocean waters and the temperature of the ocean only varies slightly.
Paradise Peninsula has public bus services (called Metro) and public and private school bus services. Besides having beaches, surfing and shallow youngster safe spots, Paradise Peninsula has many boat ramps, golf courses, yacht, boat and dive clubs, sports clubs, environmental helping clubs, shops, clubrooms, bowls, restaurants and taverns.
Horse riders, mountain bikers and walkers are incredibly well catered for with our locally famous Tangara Trail which traverses most of Paradise Peninsula, taking you along waterfront reserves and into amazingly scenic bush land areas.
